Astronomy is the scientific study of celestial objects, cosmic phenomena, and the structure of the Universe. One of humanity's oldest sciences, it combines gravitational physics, relativity, and quantum mechanics to understand everything from nearby moons and Planets to distant Galaxies and the origin of existence itself.

Modern astronomy encompasses observation across the entire Electromagnetic Spectrum—from radio waves to visible light to gamma rays—using telescopes on Earth and in space. Astronomers map the Solar System, track Stars, model Black Holes, and search for Exoplanets. The field has revealed that the Universe is expanding, that Gravity bends Spacetime, and that most of the cosmos consists of mysterious Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

Astronomy differs from Astrology in its rigorous, evidence-based approach. It's driven by fundamental questions: How did Galaxies form? Are we alone? What is the fate of the Universe? Whether through naked-eye observation or billion-dollar observatories, astronomy connects us to the cosmos and our place within it.
