Electromagnetism

Electromagnetism is the fundamental force unifying electricity and magnetism into a single phenomenon. Moving electric charges generate magnetic fields, while changing magnetic fields induce electric currents—a dance discovered through centuries of experiment and codified by Maxwell's equations.

Understanding electromagnetism required mathematical genius—Newton laid foundations, but James Clerk Maxwell unified the picture in 1865, showing light itself is an electromagnetic wave. That insight bridged the gap between what we see in the cosmos and the forces beneath our feet.

Today, electromagnetism remains central to advanced physics, computer vision systems, and the quantum realm.
